YOUTH OPPORTUNITY FUND
YOUTH CAPTIAL FUND
So what are they? They sound quite serious...
The key thing to think about with these funds is the word 'opportunity.' Money has been made available for young people all over the country to do things that that they may not have been able to before.
A group of young people from Gloucestershire are in charge of our 'pot' of the fund and you must apply to them for money to make your idea happen. They work to a set of criteria to make sure it is judged fairly. If you have an idea of how to help young people, be it a training session to learn new skills or a trip to Alton Towers, as long as you can prove it will help people you can get funding!
For those of you with more permanant ideas for change there is the Capital fund. This is for more permanant structures such as youth shelters or doing up buildings etc. You can apply for both as long as they fit the right criteria.
So how do you apply?
First, you need an idea. Second, you need these forms.
If you need anything else or help with an idea or filling in forms, just contact GYM - we will be happy to help!
YOUTH PARTICIPATION GRANTS
These are grants that are given to applicants who request money to develop a project or an idea that promote the idea of 'youth participation.' By this we mean inclusion of young people from a wide variety of backgrounds, particularly those who are in an ethnic or other type of minority and those young people who can be classed as disadvantaged.
If you have any ideas for projects and request information regarding making an application, contact us at GYM and we can help talk through your idea.
Otherwise, just download an application form, fill it, and pop it in the post. Remember, if you need help, just ask GYM!
