Your Views on... Where GYM Meet

Gym have been meeting at "The Docks" in Gloucetser. But.... do you like it. If you do not like where GYM meet then let us know and we can try and do something about it, or if you just want directions or someone to come and meet you on the cross then let us know using the above link.

Your Views on... The Bandstand

Gloucester City's Bandstand is being revamped.  The winner was the victorian styled bandstand and we want to know what you think about this option.

Is it flexible? Does it suit the park?  Will it last?

Any thoughts you have, we want to hear them!

Check out the bandstand topic here.

Your Views on......  The Mosquito

A product has been developed that makes a really annoying high pitched sound - but only under 25's can hear it.  This is starting to be used around the country to deter young people from hanging around certain areas, usually shopping centres.

Click on this link to read how Swindon used the device, and if you haven't heard it yet, have a listen to the sound.

So what do you think?

Is this fair? How do you think this affects your rights?  How does it affect the way the public view young people?

Email us your thoughts to the usual address: gym@gloucester.gov.uk

Your Views on......  Smoking

The government has agreed on plans for a ban on smoking in enclosed public places in England. Pubs and clubs not serving food will be allowed to choose.

It's a hot topic at the moment but what do you think...Should there be a total ban on smoking in public places? Should people be given the right to choose?

Email us your thoughts and comments to the usual address: gym@gloucester.gov.uk

For those of you interested in Politics visit the Do Politics website which has been created by The Electoral Commission. They're encouraging young people to become involved in politics through workshops and events.

Remember: "If you don't do politics there's not much you do do."

How about visiting your local MP Parmjit Dhanda's website and finding out a bit more about who he is and what his latest campaigns are on.

Your Views on......  Lowering the age of Voting

At this year's Labour Party conference, there will be discussion about whether or not to include a proposal to lower the voting age to 16.

Do you think this is a good idea? Are young people interested in voting? If you were the Prime Minister for the day and had to decide whether or not to lower the age of voting what would you do? - what would your argument for and against be?

Email us @ gym@gloucester.gov.uk and let us know what you think.
